The biggest political issue of the day is...
Staff Reporter | Posted February 25, 2008 2:50 PM

It's not Halloween, but the Internet is filled with photos of presidential candidates and public figures dressed in various outfits.
Barack Obama's campaign today accused Hillary Clinton's campaign of sending a picture of Obama from a 2006 trip to Kenya wearing African garb to the Drudge Report. Obama's campaign manager called the tactic "shameful, offensive fear-mongering." They see it as an attempt to remind voters of the inaccurate rumors that Obama, a Christian, is actually a Muslim.
The Clinton camp did not deny sending the picture, but campaign manager Maggie Williams said "if Barack Obama's campaign wants to suggest that a photo of him wearing traditional Somali clothing is divisive, they should be ashamed. Hillary Clinton has worn the traditional clothing of countries she has visited and had those photos published widely."
Meanwhile, recent polls show the economy, the war in Iraq, education and health care are the top issues that concern most Americans. The candidates' clothing choices on overseas trips did not rank as a priority.
