Why did the Academy snub Whoopi?
Staff Reporter | Posted February 25, 2008 7:28 PM
Maybe that's why the ratings were so low. Sunday night's Academy Awards show snubbed former host Whoopi Goldberg by failing to include her in a montage of previous hosts. The four-time Oscar host was consoled by her her co-hosts on "The View" today.
They did not have you in the montage of the hosts," said Sherri Shepherd. Co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck also noticed the slight, at first assuming she had missed Goldberg by fast forwarding with her Tivo.
"I think you're a great host," said Barbara Walters, as the audience applauded.
"This makes up for it," Goldberg said, as she rose from her seat and hugged her co-hosts.

That is completely messed up. Whoopi has had an incredible career, and its a shame those jokers didn't include her.

I truly believe that her omission was on purpose. How could you possibly forget a Black woman who has hosted the event four times? If Whoopi would have hosted only once, I could chalk it up to an oversight. But, this was no simple oversight.
