North Carolina GOP releases attack ad on Barack Obama

..........and we thought Hillary was bad. Brothers and Sisters, you better start your prayer meetings early because the negative ads against Barack will be out in full force in North Carolina. Barack will need all the help he can get. This unprecedented series of events that have moved Senator Obama forward is disturbing a number of forces. Be prepared and get ready -- it is going to be a tough battle ahead.

It would not be wise for the NC GOP to run this ad. Not only is this offensive to Obama supporters but to the very large African-American population in the state that is a very large voting block. What is the difference between what Rev. Wright said and what Pastor Hagee says about the Catholic Church being the great whore. Perhaps the Obama camp should run a counter ad with that in it. How negative would that be.

DAILYVOICE, why in the world would you post this footage here on your website, encouraging your readers to contribute hits to such slanderous, divisive material? It is no surprise to anyone who has followed the state of this race that such ads are being created, are already in existence and will soon be out in full force. The fact that you all find it necessary to promote such an ad is troubling. Are you all implicitly endorsing the presumptive GOP nominee (who by the way doesn't approve of this type of political strategizing)? Please let us know, as a reader and registered independent, I am very curious.

Attacking the messenger gets us no where. We don't live in a vaccum, the Daily Voice is about delivering the news and thats it. Practicing my Freedom of Speech, enjoying my most precious American right, this negative advertisement and other negative advertisements to come, need to be aired, need to be viewed by all Americans. Clinton recently quotes Harry Truman, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." If Obama cannot deal with issues, he needs to get out of the presidential race. Clearly Clinton can handle the heat much better than Obama. Clinton is not a sissy. This problem with Wright needs to aired and discussed. This must happen, this must be settled in the minds of all Americans. I am of a mind Obama has been listening to Wright for twenty years or so, not on a daily basis or such, but listening to some of his sermons for a couple of decades. There is no doubt Obama's thinking is effected by Wright, if not overtly, then with subtleness. I want to know how much of an effect Wright has had on Obama. I want to know if Wright has given Obama a hint of hatred for America, for white people, for whatever and for whomever. I want to know as do millions of Americans. An effect this is having is putting on alert those politicians who support Obama will be subjected to this type of negative campaigning by republicans. I want to know how this will effect both the thinking of and the behavior of those running for office who are also Obama supporters. Will politicians stand firm behind Obama or will politicians shy away in fear of losing their own elections? Same alert and effect is given to delegates and those bozo super-delegates. This Wright matter is out in the open, is now an issue. This needs to be discussed and settled. If people work at sweeping Wright under a carpet, this will lead to rumor and gossip, a result of people not knowing truth, not fully understanding. I'm sure that its people like you and those NC fools that gave him call to say those things. If Clinton ran against McCain in the general election and no Black Person in America voted for her, do you still think she can win. I dont owe a Clinton anything. Sometimes I do think that most Americans do not deserve an Obama. The qoute that 'most nations get the type of leaders they deserve' would be interesting to apply to america post elections. If most America is not ready for Obama, but was twice ready for Bush, then that has absolutely nothing to do with Obama's politics and virtues.

I've been posting the hypocricy of Hillary Clinton and some her campaign surrogates. Therefore, I've posted the following information several times this past week. One thing I forgot to mention is that another of Hillary's main surrogates, Congresswoman Shiela Jackson Lee, is also a devotee of Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Wright; he's been preaching at her home church, where she is actively involved, annually for the past 15 years and has an open invitation to return. She's sat in the pews for his visits and did not bat an eye. But, I digress...Here's my previous post... It's interesting to me that Hillary Clinton would have a surrogate that was not only a longtime member of Trinity United Church of Christ but also still considers Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright her pastor. That surrogate would be Rev. Marcia Dyson. Rev. Marcia Dyson's seminary education, in part, was sponsored by Trinity UCC and encouraged by Rev. Wright. As a matter of fact, it was at Trinity were she first met her husband, Rev. Dr. Michael Dyson, who's been very vocal in his defense of Rev. Wright. Too bad Rev. Marcia Dyson does not share the same integrity. How did she feel when Hillary dissed the person--her pastor--and the church that nurtured her growth in the ministry? Did she go to her boss and defend Rev. Wright or perhaps denounce and reject Hillary for her part in politicizing the Rev. Wright issue? Hillary could have taken the high rode, considering that her rode surrogate is a product of Rev. Wrights teachings and sat there as Obama did for years--perhaps, not for the sermons in question, but she sat there nevertheless. Yet, Hillary spoke out against Rev. Wright and Trinity UCC, and to date Rev. Marcia Dyson has not publically said a word. Therefore, Rev. Marcia Dyson's silence on this matter is dishonest, hypocritical, and it shows a complete lack of intergrity. We already know that Hillary has those values. Rev. Marcia Dyson talks a good game about feminism and Black pride, but she does not walk it. "Sounding Brass and Tinkling Symbols." "Talking Loud and Sayin Nothing."

If you have never attended Trinity UCC and/or have not personally met Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, then you have no idea what you are talking about. Trinity UCC is a part of a denomination that is 99% white. Rev. Wright has been defended and lauded by ministers of all different colors, faith traditions, and backgrounds. However, you will not see any of this on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News or other media outlets. The respect and admiration that other clergy, professionals, and everyday folk have for this man will not be reported. While I am not a member of Trinity UCC, I am a member of the UCC church and I have first hand knowledge that Rev. Wright does not preach hate, particularly hatred of a specific race of people. But, he does preach hatred of racism, oppression of any kind, and imperialism. In addition, there is no other individual on the planet who has defended Native Americans--Purl Girl--more than Rev. Wright. He's not anti-American; he is a decorated US Marine and Naval Officer. He was enrolled at Virginia Union University and did what Bush, Clinton and Cheney did not do; he postponed his education and volunteered for active duty. He speaks 5 languages and holds 4 degrees. He was sent a letter of commendation from President L.B Johnson, for assistance the assistance he rendered during Johnson's surgery. He has earned the right to criticize the failings of America; he’s walked the walk… It's interesting to me that people have been quoting the Rev. Dr. MLK Jr. "I Have a Dream" speech and saying Rev. Wright should preach love like Rev. Dr. MLK Jr. However, few people recite Rev. Dr. MLK Jr.’s sermon at Riverside Church, in New York--the year before his death--where he said America is one of the greatest purveyors of violence. He also said that God's wrath would be upon America for her sins. But today, now that he's dead, we all love Dr. MLK and fail to remember why he was murdered. He was murdered because he spoke-out against the Vietnam War, poverty, America’s imperialism. So, don’t get this thing twisted. The Black Church and anyone who speaks out against America are under attack. It was true back in the day and it remains true today. Being American is not synonymous with being white, and it is not synonymous with the American flag.

And this is news to whom? Obama or if HRC can steal the nomination won't win North Carolina, it will always be for the GOP, and, its odd that the GOP would have the gall to get into race issues when they are as anti-black as they come, well, next to the HRC supporters online, but, hey, the tag teaming Clinton's opened the door, so, lets just continue the free for all race baiting issue.

In today's "YouTube" based society, the essential meaning of an entire message is most often lost in the easy quick intentional pursuit and creation of national media soundbite sensationalism. It is virtually guaranteed that his comments will be snipped and spun by Senator Obama's opponents to in turn rebroadcast a twisted perception of the worst possible interpretation, the truth and reality of what Reverend Wright says be damned. Indeed, this is already happening based on YouTube clips of his conversation with Bill Moyers and meanwhile the entire interview has not even been shown yet. Yet, in the final analysis, better to have new snippets taken out of context when Reverend Wright is speaking calmly to Bill Moyers rather than the continued rebroadcast of his out of context old snippets loudly spoken as part of a fiery sermon. Ideally, every American who has a sincere interest in this issue will listen intently to the entire PBS interview (9:00pm Friday, April 25) and then make a judgement on that basis. But do not bet on this outcome. Because of course, the entire interview will more than likely only be intently listened to by those who are already sincerely looking for any comment that can be taken out of context (or for that matter taken without providing any context at all) and subsequently used negatively against Senator Obama on behalf of their own self-serving agenda. And the fact is, the issue was not going away but rather was going to be continuously revisited whether or not Reverend Wright personally addressed it now, later, or never......see North Carolina. You know what everybody this was to be expected. However, it will only get worse. But listen ya’ll www.moveon.org is watching all of this and the blood bath will begin. They will not allow Barack to get too injured. Now we must all stay “OPTIMISTIC”. However, we must also be realistic. In case this does not go the way of Obama. Of course we would have been slighted, and hoodwinked. So if any of you as me in the end decide not to vote for HRC. This is just a scenario. But please note If McCain wins this election. It will be a rough 4 years. So we must all 1. Keep your bills paid Rent, Mortgage comes first than your monthly incur of bills 2. Don’t live above your means 3. Be Frugal, Be Wise 4. Stash emergency funds 5. Go above and beyond performance at your place of employment. Some of you might be laughing at me saying this but in the event this happens. It will not be FUNNY Because under McCain these wars will not end. Then they will push for war with Iran. McCain has made it clear he will not help bailout the homeowners in this mortgage crisis, He’s against The Equal Pay Law. He will encourage business to continue moving jobs offshore. Will have no intentions of helping the LGBTQ community and if he won’t help them the Black LGBTQ know you’re not in his thoughts. Just a few things to keep in mind if Barack doesn’t get this. And that goes for the nomination as well as The Presidency. Go Obama 08’ and change this nightmare.

I am dismayed to learn The Daily Voice practices censorship. I am disturbed to learn The Daily Voice does not support Freedom of Speech. Rather sad to learn The Daily Voice has proven to be another Al Jazeera of Black America. Recently I gave my support to The Daily Voice, commented how refreshing to discover a Black American magazine which supports diverse opinions from all Americans. I held hope The Daily Voice would prove to be a meeting place for all Americans to foster friendship and understanding between all peoples. Now I learn only those who fully support Black America's points of view, only those who fully support Obama, only those who toe the line drawn by Black America, only those are allowed to participate here at The Daily Voice. We should not be surprised. These racist white republicans are so sad and so afraid that an African American candidate can be taken seriously that they are willing to help a white liberal candidate Ms. Clinton whom for decades they have hated. Their rationale is at least she is white. I believe that Hilary Clinton and her campaign should come out against this tactic as they did about Rev Wright. It would be the right thing to do. But I am not insane she could never stand up show that much integrity and party loyalty. But she would expect us to for her if the shoe were on the other feet.
