Obama has raised $235 million

In contrast, Hillary Clinton raised about $20 million in March and had $9 million available at the beginning of April. But with reported debts of $10.3 million, Clinton was actually left in the red.

Obama had a total of $51 million in the bank at the end of March, nearly $9 million of which can only be used for the general election. Obama's fundraising has far outpaced all rivals in the 2008 campaign, on both the Democratic and Republican sides.

John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee, raised $15.2 million and had $11.6 million in the bank, according to his campaign.

Obama has not only outraised his opponents, he has also outspent them too. In the Pennsylvania primary campaign, some reports indicate he is outspending Clinton by a margin of 2-to-1 or even 3-to-1.
