New video brands McCain as a flip flopper
Staff Reporter | Posted May 19, 2008 12:43 AMA new video released on the Internet attempts to brand John McCain as a flip flopper on several major issues, including the economy, the war in Iraq, and McCain's own knowledge about those issues.
The video, titled "McCain's YouTube Problem Just Became a Nightmare," was posted on YouTube on Sunday and had already been viewed more than 200,000 times by the end of the evening.
"There's no question John McCain is getting a free ride from the mainstream press," said Robert Greenwald in a blog article about the video, produced by his organization, Brave New Films.
The group has used YouTube and the blogosphere to provide what it calls "an accurate portrayal" of the Arizona senator and "put the brakes on his free ride" in the media.
The entire series of videos created by the filmmaker has received almost 2 million views, according to Greewald. "Clearly, John McCain's record is something the public wants to discuss, and yet the corporate media is doing NOTHING to present the truth," he wrote.
Meanwhile, John McCain's campaign was eager to present a kinder, gentler image of the GOP presidential candidate. The McCain for president web site posted two videos of the senator from his appearance on Saturday Night Live over the weekend. The McCain videos are posted below.
