Oh, Lord! Another man of God fruitcake tossing God into politics.
God is on our side! Vote for Bozo the Clown!
Religion has no place in politics. If this bozo Catholic priest keeps shooting off his sexist mouth, the IRS will jerk his tax exempt status.
Quite hypocritical, you know. A woman cannot be a priest. A woman cannot serve as the Pope. Women cannot hold high positions within the Catholic church. How sexist! Catholicism is almost as sexist as Islam.
Why should I, a woman, display respect for the Catholic church? Why should my feminine mind lend credibility to the words of a misogynist?
This is a man of God speaking out in support of Wright while contending women are of no religious value. Choir boys, now this is different.
Religion is a bust! Religion is hypocrisy in its purest and most righteous form.
Brothers and sisters! We should not be singing God Bless America, we should be singing God Damn Religion!
I shall ask my medicine animal, Nashoba Holba (Coyote), to hike a leg on this priest’s church.

Wow, how do you know that this man is a pedophile?
How do you know his views on the Church, or his own personal views. Would it be fair to assume that you are drunk off of cheap wine and living on a reservation. Probably not. Choctaw Nation, hmmmm

She does not know White Light, since she has started trolling here, nothing but racial slurs, hatred and innuendo about anything related to the black experiance. And, if she is part of the Choctaw nation, I'm Queen of the Cherokees and ruling Princess of the Apaches.

Oh, come now! Intelligent people know organized religion is a false facade, is a branch of government. Organized religion has only one goal which is to brainwash the unwashed masses into thinking right thoughts, least right thoughts according to a self-righteous political agenda.
Look at all the scandal and corruption within churches of our world. My word! Religion is not about God and leading a good life, religion is about money, politics and power, setting aside all these immoral acts committed by the righteous.
My god is better than your god! If you disagree with me, I will saw your head off!
Organized religion is the most prejudicial and the most sexist collection of mindless minions to be found.

This man is one of the most respected Clergymen in the city of Chicago. Mike is top shelf. He is from old money but choose to spend his life serving, helping and empowering the people of inner city Chicago.
Mike is not only a priest he is also a saint and mentor. He was one of the Catholic clergy person on the stage at Coretta Scott King's funeral and he was seated not too far from Ms. Hilary and Bill Clinton, for your info Purl Gurl.
Mike keep up the good work and remember: In necessariis unitas, in dubiis libertas, in omnibus caritas et ad multos annos

Ramses elects to write in a civil manner,
"This man is one of the most respected Clergymen in the city of Chicago."
Is that so? Why will Pfleger not allow me to be a priest simply because I am a woman?
Boy howdy! Now that is rancid sexism!
We are all equal in the eyes of God, we are all God's children, well, except for women. Those women are to be subservient to man according to God's will and word.
I do not appreciate Pfleger issuing threats in the name of God. The man is a lunatic,
"Do not touch this man [Obama], for if you do, you will answer to us all." (Pfleger, 1/16/2007)
What? Will Pfleger saw our heads off?
Pfleger is not a priest, Pfleger is a fruit loopy politician who threatens America if we do not follow his pontificated dictates.

I've never seen or heard of this pastor/priest before, but he makes some very sound and interesting points. One of the most valid points he makes is that Rev. Wright is not a politician, but a pastor. Black religious figures are seen as not only religious leaders, but community and social leaders, therefore, they are expected to speak on social injustices. Rev. Wright is no different. This guy was able to do something that many people were unable to do eloquently. He was able to show the biases and lies that Fox News produces.
Purl Gurl: No one is a saint. All injustices are wrong. Racism, sexism, homophobia, agism (is that a word?) are all wrong. I think it's important to realize that humans are biased/prejudice little creatures. By far, I am not excusing or saying that our biases are justifiable, but instead I am saying that we live in a complex world. So, do I agree with this guy? Yes, on the questions that were asked on the clip, but like many of I sure he has biases and prejudices.

emylpmis adds much to reader value, in part,
"Purl Gurl: No one is a saint...humans are biased/prejudice little creatures."
Ha! Ha! Talk about an understatement!
One gander at my big butt you would not call me a "little creature" no way, no how!
Separation of church and state is one of my serious hot buttons. Press this button of mine and I will rant for days on end.
Keeping religion separate from government is one of the founding principles of our country, and is the very principle which led Europeans to come here to America; religious persecution by government.
I am hot under the collar on this topic for a number of reasons, both current and historical.
A current reason is I fault right wing evangelist for George Bush sitting in the Oval Office. He was elected by those people and his policies are a reflection of those people. Our country and our world are just about destroyed because of right wing evangelist and their religious beliefs.
A historical reason is Christians slaughtered my peoples, destroyed our culture, took away our language, cut our hair off, made us wear proper clothes, on and on and on.... Those days are past, though. Nonetheless, restoring and rebuilding our American Indian culture will remain a long and difficult task. In this sense, I cannot let go the past because we are still working at repairing the damage done.
Religion has no place in politics and our government should not be based upon religion.
Some may label me a racist for this, but this does make an excellent example. Islam is a religion and Islam is a government. Islam frightens me half to death. Islam is real threat to our way of life and a real threat to our very lives.
Islam represents the worst of mixing religion and politics. Right wing evangelists in control of our Oval Office represents the worst of what can happen to our country.
Today, our world is at war because of religion, just as in the past, virtually forever past. All wars, genocides, strife, poverty, hunger, all these terrible things are a direct result of mixing religion and government.
My view is organized religion is to worship evil.
So, yes, when these people of God come out and preach how I should think, how I should believe, how I should behave, when these righteous people control governments, control our lives, yes, I will rebel, I will protest and most likely I will tell those hypocritical false god worshipers,
"Go sit on a crucifix and rotate."

Well Purl Gurl I see we are back to your favorite subject-you. Chile lighten up. You are right you cannot be priest in the Catholic Church. That's not Mike's decision that Church law. The good news is that Rev Wright would allow to be a priest in his Church. He was good enough for Bill and Hill, he was at the White House I am sure he would welcome you and you would be among friends.

Wow! He gave Fox News the business!! I hope anyone who ever thought Fox News was "fair and balanced" or even a real news organization gets to see this entire interview. That reporter came to do a hatchet job and ended up getting his head chopped off! I disagree with Rev. Wright's ridiculous comments as of late, but Fox news and the rest of the so called news channels are more to blame than Rev. Wright for keeping this meaningless story alive and for distorting his views. I'm glad this priest was able to speak the truth with heart and intelligence.
p.s. Don't even bother reading anything Purl Gurl writes. It's a waste of time to read the rants of a lunatic. When I see her name, I just skip over to the next comment.
