R. Kelly trial gets underway
Staff Reporter | Posted May 9, 2008 9:02 PM
Demonstrators for and against R. Kelly lined up outside the court house in Chicago Friday morning as the R&B singer's long awaited "pornography trial" got underway.
Supporters of Kelly were mostly women, according to Associated Press correspondent Mark Carlson, who filed a video report. One man interviewed on camera demanded that Kelly be brought to justice, but a woman who was interviewed told AP that she felt compelled to show up to vouch for the singer's innocence.
