Lakers beat Celtics 87-81 in Games 3 of NBA finals
Staff Reporter | Posted June 11, 2008 2:02 AMKobe Bryant led the Los Angeles Lakers to a 87-81 victory over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday in game 3 of the NBA finals.
Bryant scored 36 points to bring the Lakers back to life in the best of 7 series, giving Los Angeles its first win after two straight losses against the Celtics in Boston.
History was leaning against the Lakers if they hadn't won Tuesday night. No team in NBA playoff history has ever won a series after losing the first three games.
Boston now leads the series 2 games to 1. Game 4 takes places Thursday night in Los Angeles.
