Poll Shows Racial Divisions on Obama

Suprise! Suprise! This is no suprise to me. Im only suprised that even 34% of whites were willing to admitt that race relations were bad. Because to most of them, its not bad. There not suffering the sting of racism. And unless they make an independent effort to reach out and get an understanding, they wont understand. Becuase the mainstream media will not paint an authenic picture of our reality. But it doesnt matter what they think of Borak Obama. He still will be the next president of the United States of America..... Hail to the Chief!!!

where is the "investigation" in the "press", how come i was able to find out in the same statistics that only 21% of whites view cindy mccain favorably only 34% of whites view john mccain favorably why is that hidden and why can't "thedailyvoice" find that out? why must the viewer now become the "reporters"? why is there an agenda to keep the race going by hiding mccain's negatives and exposing obamas? too many question, so litte time.

The mainstream media, including AOL, is partial to Obama to the extreme of 'canonizing' him. I think this poll as well as the New Yorker cover are trying to make him look like a victim of racism, he has been playing the race card in a very subtle way from the begining. Not votig for Obama just because he is black would be as racist as voting for him JUST BECAUSE HE IS. I would gladly vote for a worthy black candidate, Obama is nothing else than the "affirmative action" one.(why not Colin Powell?) Obama is an arrogant white hater, flip-flop liar with a good marketing team to write his empty, demagogical speeches that convince the sheep to vote for Saint Barack.

I believe that initially in this campaign whites were willing to and did view Obama and his campaign positively. However, Rev. Wright and the Catholic Priest did Obama NO favors and only accelerated the race issue and broadened the gap in race relations. When hate is preached in black churches like was preached by these two so-called "men of God," it shows that blacks are passing this hate on from generation to generation. How can that gap ever narrow with this type of message going out: I am oppressed, I don't have equal opportunities, it is ok to have absent black fathers shirk their duties to their children, education isn't too important, etc. and all of this is the fault of our current white generation who had nothing to do with the sins of past white generations. Isn't it about time that blacks get off their "poor me" attitude, work hard in school, etc., get off welfare, and make the contribution to society that then can make? People like Rev. Wright carry on the hate and instill it in others. A Man of God - I think not! God preached love.

I (white) have no problem with a black president, just with THIS black president. I would have no problem supporting Colin Powell, Condi Rice, or other blacks who support centrist American values. I cannot support a radical leftist, whether black or white, and Obama is a a radical leftist. If Hamas endorses him, I certainly won't! I remember the calamatous days of Jimmy Carter, and an Obama administration would be Carter Redux, only worse. Why does this man, with 147 days in the senate, think he is qualified to step into the shoes of Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan? As for the black issue, he would NEVER have been nominated with his background if he were white. Blacks need to step away from their victim complex and recognize the opportuities that they, and all Americans, share.

All of this Race based polling is counterproductive. Had the Republicans put up the likes of a Colin Powell or a Condolesa Rice I do not think race would be an issue. The Racists are playing that card. The American people want to hear the facts. Change! This is has been the cry for years. What are you going to change and how are you going to do it should be what the Obama camp should be talking about. Obama is talking about nothing! Let the debates begin and the racists stay away.

Jerry Ramsdale I know that has to just make the hair stand up on your red neck to know, that no matter how much you hate Obama. He will still be YOUR commander in chief. Just like most blacks hated the idea of a 2 term George W Bush presidency we still had to swallow it as bad as it tasted. And now the whole country can taste it. Wish they wouldve took some pointers from their black neighbors, we all could be eating somethin different. But anyway its your swallowing time now. I don't think the major issue is black vs. white. I know there is racism in America, but I've seen racism cut both ways. There are whites that will not vote for a black, and there are blacks that will not vote for a white. For me the most important issue is that Obama is an extreme liberal. I don't know that the far left and it's inherent extensive public assistance is good for the nation or good for some of those on that assistance. I do not know if Obama is experienced enough to know what should work and what will not. If Obama is going to attract any of the middle to right wing, he will have to be specific about the changes he will make for this to be a better America for everyone.

I am not surprised. Over the years only the laws of the land have changed concerning racial hatred. Most white folks hearts have not chaged and never will. I am satisfied with this.

I just completed a brief questionaire (voting) on AOL's first page. It infuriated me as usual. They ask a question with 2 or 3 choices, none or either of them are my choice. I'd like to conduct that little survey again right here! The question was, ARE YOU READY FOR A BLACK PRESIDENT? My choice was yes or no. I put that I'm ready, but the rest of the story is, I'm not voting for Obama. Please tell me I'm not crazy, but, given the war in which we are presently involved, does it seem odd to anyone but me that we are seriously considering putting Mr.Barack Hussein Obama as top man in the White House??!! To be our leader??!! To determine our future??!! It's not that he's evil (however, he could be); it's just that I don't trust him. Unlike Hillary, he comes across as kind and compassionate but I don't think he really is. He's an enigma..and I don't like enigmas and I'd sure never vote for one. One more little thought, there were 2 large, color photos of McCain on one side of the page and of Obama on the other. I have studied body language over the years and the Number One thing on the "never to do" list, is cross your arms over your chest. It tells whoever you're with that you don't like them and that you are not letting anyone through to see the real you! The books I've studied all said the same thing; there is no exception to this rule. You can't claim that you're just cold and shivering or it's the most comfortable way to stand. It means that you are closed off and since the arm-crossing Obama was posing for a publicity shot, he was telling us by his body language that he is closed off to the American people. Vote for him if that's what your heart is set on, but...it could turn out worse than you could ever imagine.

I HAD TO TELL EVERYONE MT FEELINGS ON BARACK OBAMA AND HIS COURAGE. THE RACE ISSUE is a BIG ISUE in North America but it only happens in North America ! Humanity has to learn that we should NOT judge our fellow inhabitants of " Planet Earth " based on their SKIN COLOR or NATIONAL ORIGIN. When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans and most of the Blacks there were being displaced. Her ass was on Madison Ave in NYC shopping at Salvatore Ferragamo for shoes that goes for 1,000$ a pop. Colin Powell on the other hand I have much respect for. He remembers where he comes from. It may have not seemed like it during the Bush years. At The Republican National Convention in Philadelphia when he spoke and told those conservative assholes. We need to do more so that the level education in this country would benefit ALL KIDS regardless of race. And then partnered with Janet Jackson for a charity he had called “America’s Promise” where it benefited ALL CHILDREN. Once Bush and the crew saw he wasn’t for the wealthy assholes. When the second Bush term began. He was asked to RESIGN! He was no longer a part of this sick ass regime

so I say to you Jerry DON’T VOTE FOR OBAMA and your damn RACIST VOTE won’t be missed AT ALL. Condi, Ward Connerly, Armstrong Williams and the rest of the “I HATE MYSELF BECAUSE I’M BLACK” crew can go straight to HELL and you can join if you like

A "WHITE CUBAN" I guess she had to put it in caps to try and think that the "white" folks outside of Miami would say she is. The nonsense about race is amazing, and, its all taught at home that "white" is best and anything else is wrong, silly since "white" folks are the minorty on this planet, and, those who want to be "white" really need some self esteem.

I would like to see whites go to a country in Africa, be en-slaved for 400 years. Build up that coutries entire economy. All while being treated less than human, Then be freed and left to starve because of no reparations, Free but still unequal. Go and serve and die in every war that country has ever had. Fighting for a freedom your unable to enjoy, dying for justice you dont experience, Laying down your life for a country that you love, but doesnt love you back. And then centuries later when the africans there claim they accept you, have a white candidate for president of that country come along, with all the talents required. And have the blacks say, well he's not good enough. How would you feel???? Somebody white please answer. "Honestly".

A lot of fools commenting on this blog. There are people who are not going to vote for him just because he is black. Throughout his campaign, he has not said one negative thing about a candidate but I see people on this blog think other wise. I would like to see the media talk more about McBush because every fifthteen seconds, I hear about how Obama is doing this and saying that. He has ran a complete positive campaign and some of you are trying to brand him as the Devil him self. Any one who supports unjust wars to me is considered "A Devil". Vote for change or just stay home.
