Cops fired after videotaped beating of handcuffed man

Two police officers have been removed from duty and a third has resigned after a video showed police repeatedly kicking and punching a handcuffed suspect in the face.  

West Palm Beach, Florida police officers Louis Schwartz and Jason Zangara were dismissed from duty Tuesday after an internal investigation showed them using "excessive force" against a robbery suspect (shown in the video below).

A third police officer, Kurt Graham, reportedly resigned before any action could be taken against him. The three officers were caught on tape by a patrol car dashboard camera as they beat and kicked Gilberto Valenzuela, 42, on May 26. The video was released by police on Monday. Valenzuela suffered a broken jaw and bruised eyes, according to media reports.

City spokesman Chase Scott told the Associated Press that the police department has "a zero tolerance policy for use of excessive force."
