Dead man stands for three days at family wake

We've seen a lot of unusual stories come across the wire, but this one may take the cake. The corpse of 24-year-old Angel Pantoja Medina was standing upright for three days during his wake in Puerto Rico over the weekend. It was reportedly his dying wish.

Medina was found dead on Friday and buried on Monday, according to the Associated Press. He stood at his wake wearing a brown New York Yankees cap, designer eye glasses and a brown t-shirt over a long-sleeve white shirt.

He was found dead under a bridge from a gun shot to the head. The story was featured on MSNBC.com. Who at 24 is planning how they want to be buried... with that said I had a good idea of how the young man was living. There are several other pictures floating around. What this picture didn't show is that he is standing right outside of the family's kitchen. Ewwww. Imagine going to bed and turn the lights on and see him standing there. DEAD!!!! OMG...

Bizarre! I travel to Puerto Rico frequently and drug/gang warfare is really prevalent there. It's like LA in the 80's. I couldn't have honored this last request because it seems to me that the young man's lifestyle wasnt quite right if he was planning his own wake at 24 years old.

Well, maybe he wasn't happy here on earth. At least he went out the way he wanted. He's probably looking down at his family happy how well they pulled it off for him in his honor. Too bad he couldn't get whatever he was requesting to change his mind about taking his own life. SAD

thats the sweeetest shit i have ever seen in my whole life in all of my 26 years of life i reeally feel ilke my life is complete ,thank you for dyiing for us sir you will be forever knowen as the guy that stood in his living room dead for three days as they had a so called wake, these people should be recodnized for their bravery in pioneering the thought that people can have the balls to stand up and stil be weird even though their dead.... LET US PREY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
