Democrats target North Carolina race
Staff Reporter | Posted August 20, 2008 10:06 AMDemocrats have begun to target the U.S. Senate race between Republican Elizabeth Dole and Kay Hagan.
The race, which is described as "unexpectedly competitive" by CNN, pits North Carolina's only female U.S. senator against Hagan, a female state senator.
MoveOn.org has spent almost half a million dollars on an ad accusing Dole and presidential candidate John McCain of being "in the pocket of Big Oil."
This is the MoveOn.org ad accusing Dole and McCain of being in the "pocket" of big oil.
This is Democrat Kay Hagan's ad against Elizabeth Dole, which also targets oil companies as promises to "level the playing field."
