Obama fires back at McCain-Palin for 'lying about their records'

Obama has no "fire" and Palin has cut his balls off. She can say what she wants, she's a white woman, and as a White woman enjoys a myriad of perks, support, and love from the media and society at large. If Obama criticizes a white working mother of 5, 1 child with Down syndrome, another in the military, another with problems (pregnancy), he'll only further drive working white women who are mothers further to Palin. This is not about issues, facts, or even politics. This is 100% about the composite of the person. Many more talented Black people have been wrongfully voted "off the island" on American Idol. Same thing. Seriously, Americans vote for who they like, the composite. It does not necessarily at all have to be true - it just has to play into our notions of what we would like to think. Pack it up Obama supporters, might as well start the Hillary '12 campaign now! Palin is untouchable, Mom, Apple Pie, she's the composite that can say anything and you cannot criticize. Palin has painted Obama into a corner and he cannot box his way out.

I don't care about her personal life or Obamas, I just care about the issues and The Replubicans haven't talked about one issue that I care about as a American. Obama will win just on issues a lone.

If we are comparing this election to the voting on American Idol, this country is in big trouble. This "madonna syndrome" that you want to give Palin is nothing but a smoke screen for trash that has been shoved into the public eye with a republican spin. Her smart mouth will hang her. She will not need our help to keep her foot out of her mouth and if she and McShame win, we will all just go down together. Let her pretty phoney smile keep us from going under.

I think the mentality of white women in america is not only being underestimated but insulted and many of them are going to realize it. Every campaign is energized after a convention. The republican reluctance to put her on display to the press for questioning says it all. And many white women are taking notice. They might just stay home and leave it up to their dumb-ass husbands to do the dirty work. But white women are not fools by a long-shot. People who were ruled over by her are begining to surface and the democrats are letting these poor souls stories be told. If Barak had put Hillary on that ticket their would have been controversy as well. Hillary is not well liked by white males at all. Both republican and democrat.

I find the whole process a little suspect. Why can't she be questioned? What is there to hide, I said it before she should be insulted that they (the reps) are using her because they saw the impact Hillary had on the women's vote. I believe the debates will remove all of the smoke and mirrors and then we will get to the real issues. I haven't heard one thing that the Reps are planning to do to fix the economy, oil, etc... the only thing I have heard was McCain's life story, and how great his running mate is. I am not certain what makes her great but since they keep saying it, I'm certain that at some point they will tell us all. I want to be told how they (reps) are going to fix the nation never mind all of the other nonsense that doesn't answer the questions. Obama has layed out his plan now where are the Reps? And for the record I do NOT believe the polls, they are just trying to keep the public interested. I can't imagine McCain leading in the polls based on his speech, if that is what changed the minds of his followers boy are we in trouble!

I have a question that your talk about poll numbers and just as the Media keep talking of poll numbers. I never be poll so why keep saying Obama is down in numbers. By number you get and the media to make this called. I do not trust polls and all reading this sure not either. CNN come up with these differ kind of polls and not sure or trust them anyway I pray that as the media make us fearful of Obama not getting in, becuase it up to God's and God's people. If Obama appointed time to go the white house no poll number matter. GOP getting in make me as black, gay, HIV postive and middle-class is in trouble.

Everyone should just remember Florida in what 2000? When Bush STOLD the election in the state his brother was govenor I believe it was. The media can and will report anything! These have all been good comments, I dont like Annons bleak view of the final weeks of this campaign. But to his credit he makes a valid point. The pick of Gov. Palin was a racial rally cry. We know we can't win on the issues. So we will make this a cultural, and racial beauty contest. Obama and his wife Michelle have two beautifull young daughters, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and for much of white America their daughters dont have a chance against the Palin klan. If blacks had centuries of cruel and inhumane treatment of whites. From slavery, to jim crow, to out right terrorism. And the current state of white America was still having a tough time fairing in a black dominated society. I would find it hard to lend any credibilty to any black minister in a christian church, that was not on the FRONTLINES! For racial justice for whites. Racism in America is alive and well! The book examines the downfall of the American Empire, its impact on the world community and what world order will take its place.

I never pay attention to polls. Some one should ask the MSM who are they polling? If they are polling in red states which I think they are then Mcbush is in a whole lot of trouble. However, if they would to poll states like the ones I live in (Illinois) then the polls are truely missleading and Obama will win in a land slide.
