Democrats and Republicans argue over 'redistributing wealth'
Staff Reporter | Posted October 29, 2008 10:59 AMDaily Voice editor Keith Boykin, a new CNBC contributor, appeared Tuesday night on CNBC with Stephen Moore, a member of the Wall Street Journal editorial board, and debated John McCain's argument that Barack Obama wants to redistribute wealth.
Boykin argued that America's economic system is based on redistributing wealth and cited the progressive income tax system and the earned income tax credit, signed by President Ronald Reagan, as examples.
Moore and Boykin were interviewed by CNBC anchor Maria Bartiromo, after showing Bartiromo's own interview earlier that day with Senator John McCain and Governor Sarah Palin.
