NBA players, coaches shuffle as season begins

Ron Artest is one of several NBA players playing for new teams this season. The former Sacramento Kings forward is now playing for the Houston Rockets.

In addition to Artest, James Posey, formerly of the Boston Celtics, is now with the New Orleans Hornets. Point guard Mo Williams, formerly with the Milwaukee Bucks, is now with LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. And power forward Elton Brand left the Los Angeles Clippers for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Some coaches will also be playing musical chairs. Former New York Knicks coach Larry Brown, who feuded with point guard Stephon Marbury, has found a new home with the Charlotte Bobcats. Meanwhile, the Knicks have a new coach of their own, former Phoenix Suns coach Mike D'Antoni, who replaces embattled former Knicks coach Isiah Thomas.

Thomas, who was fired earlier this year, suffered a drug overdose last month and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
