Is this ad racist?

From Russia with Love? This ad isn't racist. It's disrespectful and condescending because it depicts President Obama as a cartoon figure. You can't call it racist just because Obama is Black. Russia has no overt history of Racism so they get the benefit of doubt. The rainbows in the background could also symbolize Obama is Gay? You can always read into something what you desire. The Big Bear is crapping in the woods again.

Cecil Jones, do you believe that racism exist? Because you have got to be out of your mind if you think this is not racist, when did President Obama get that dark? Answer me please.

Racist? Who knows silly and childish more so and advertising is unique to its audience, but, since anyone with dark skin, even if they are Russians are not welcome in Russia, just like those with dark skin, including POTUS are unwanted in the USA.And, Cicely, google Russia and racism, maybe then you will find that clue you miss in every post you put up.

I think that the "black in white" and "chocolate in vanilla" references are to an African-American being in the WHITE HOUSE, not to President Obama's mixed-race heritage. I have to partially agree with Cecil Jones on this one. Russia has no overt history of racism and should be given the benefit of the doubt. It would be nearly impossible to understand the complexity of race in this country without the benefit(?) of living here and experiencing it for yourself. I don't even think it is disrespectful that he is depicted as a cartoon character because there are no stereotypical elements here. This is just a smiling President Obama making the peace sign with his right hand while standing in front of the residence of the Unitied States President. The rainbows in the background are the universal symbols of hope. I actually think it is innocent and that the intent is positive. It only goes awry when viewed through the lens of those of us who are unfortunate enough to live in an overtly racist society. I actually have hope that the Russian people see peace and hope in an Obama presidency.

In light of the G-20 meeting that President Obama and Michelle are about to attend, I definately wouldn't inject race into a meeting of such importance. Isn't it strange that Ray La Hood started erily talking about President Obama's "Legacy?" Isn't it strange that VP Biden threw his hat into the 2016 Presidential Race? Look behind the word and act accordingly. I don't see this as overt racism. I see this as a sign of disrespect. I'll bet President Obama wishes now that he gave the British Prime Minister something greater than video tapes. There's no excuse on any security breach here. Too many people have done too many crazy things to ignore. I don't know anything, but I know racism when I see it.

Who the hell is "Obama can't be trusted!?" I don't think the ad is racist. Damn, black people can't be on anything these days without saying it's racist. We need to stop overracting. What i think is racist is Puff Daddy only wanting light skinned girls in his ads. What i think is racist is Michael Jackson white ass kids. The ad makes me want to buy the ice cream.

I thought this was about a flavor of ICE CREAM. The opportunists are out to make money any way they can. The ad is colorful and "pretty" Frankly, I don't care. Our President has more important things to think about.

I looked at this ad again in a different light, but I still don't see it as racist. The picture is a Black man smiling in front of the White House. The man is giving a peace sign. It may be a bit disrespectful, but I don't see one racist element here. The President of the United States is Black. That's the truth in Black and White.
