Why do we need to know the names of the AIG bonus recipients?

People have lost their jobs while those responsible are living the high life. The people's government owns 80% of AIG; yet the people aren't allowed to see who swindled them out of their tax dollars.(?) Let's get real.
Who received these bonuses? Who in the treasury department "leaned" on Senator Dodd to strip the executive compensation rules out of stimulus bill? Why is the treasury department bailing out foreign banks? Why are some folks treating these bonuses as part of a salary?

Why do we need to know the names of the people who got these bonuses...because there is enough information in the public record to establish a "Pay to Play" connection through Harvard. These acts were not unknown or innocent in any way. They lied and tried to cover their tracks when America was outraged. Democrats could actually lose all political power quickly. How? There is no neutral party chairman running the DNC. President Obama has placed his own man in charge loyal to Obama above all. The neutrality shown by Howard Dean prevented a gender split. With the Democrats vulnerable on gender issues, accountability issues, and clearly hypocrites anything fresh and credible in the GOP can win. This AIG thing isn't going away and it doesn't look like Democrats will ask for accountability. What a gift to the GOP as Obama cares more about Leno and the NCAA picks.

We need the names of those exec,s or workers of AIG so we can know who to extend criminal charges to.Plus,id'e say(while we're at that)try and match those names to the list of those 48,000 americans whose holding those off-shore accounts so some real justice can prevail.Every american here in the U.S.isnt a patriot.They(these americans)could care less of the struggling economy or the fact that whole constituencies have been neglected by the past President.If the law is loved and respected,then let one list lead to the guilty which may in fact be on the off-shore tax dodger,s list.

I agree with Joni. These people have not been charged with a crime . If Cuomo and other release their names and something bad happens, the Feds will be liable. Their names can be release to investigators. That's it. The correct time to learn the names of these individuals will be when many of them, and especially Cassano, are indicted for fraud, theft, insider trading, etc.

What the heck is this? People don't need to know the names of the crooks who took these Bonus Welfare Checks? If you or I took a blouse from Target or a hamburger from McDonalds our picture, DNA, credit history, employer, and fingerprints would be plasted on the news before the APB was released by the TSA and Homeland Security calling us a "Domestic Terrorist." Bankrupt America and get a bonus check for doing it and we can't tell who you are or investigate a "Quid Pro Quo?" We were about to lynch Blago for the appearence of a Pay for Play. These people played and got paid back by the White House and we can't investigate? I'd start my investigation at Harvard and damn any political affiliation...I just want the crooks held accountable. Just think...we could bail America out of all this debt by freezing the assets of any Harvard Grad connected to Bush and Barack. Releasing the names is fair.

These bonuses were blackmail. Pay us to clean up our book or suffer the consequences. Pure and simple. The names should be released so the public is aware of these predators around them. Releasing them will also send some of them running for protection to the AG or the FBI and the end result will be stunning. This has pay to play all over it.

Why shouldnt we know the names of the people who have taken our Government money like gangsters so they can be prosecuted like any other criminal. The poor are getting poorer each day and money that could have used to lift up grassroots people and distressed urban communities was taken for the rich to get richer ! That's criminal
