New video shows whites were allowed to hold signs while black woman was removed from town hall

The media repeatedly showed the black woman being escorted out without explanation yesterday. Today, they distorted to appear that this woman was out of line in bringing a poster into the building, not about the fact that she was intruded on by an 'angry mob person' as they kept coining these protesters. The white lady saying that the women were there to 'start stuff' was the actual depiction the media has been playing for the last two days to convince the public just that.

What a disgusting display. The police should have used a taser on her and then hog tied and gagged her before they removed her from the auditorium.

And this comes as a surprise to who?

People need to remember to repeat the truth about police double standards IN THE FACE OF WITNESSES. They just dont care. PLEASE WRITE TO THIS MISSOURI TOWN MAJOR AND CITY COUNCIL ABOUT THEIR DOUBLE STANDARD TREATMENT OF BLACKS FOR THE WORLD TO SEE. This gives much credence to Prof Gates situation. Who can really doubt that there was overstepping by the police because Gates was a black man.

The fact that the man felt comfortable enough to approach a complete stranger and destroy her property in front of her let you know what time it is. The Klan have traded their white robes for three piece suits. Instead of using the words, N@****R, they use code words like SOCIALIST. Instead of lynching Negroes, they use character assassination or hang things in effigy. They carry guns to public events where people are supposed to discuss and debate HEALTHCARE REFORM! WTF! If Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Lou Dobbs and Bill O'Reilly were on the radio and television in the 60's, what side of the civil rights debate would they be on? There is no doubt in my mind. And the media hasn't made much progress since the 60's. Although Rick Sanchez of CNN had Ms. Johnson on his show today to explain what happened, CNN's reaction is indicative to the media hare trigger response to pander to a racist right wing viewpoint which is to silence any dissenting Negroes or to cast them in an unflattering light. When you think of who controls the media, including BET, then it's easy to see why things are the way they are.

At the risk of judging a book by it's cover, I look at the people in the picture standing in their little cluster with their signs and wonder about their I.Q. Unfortunately, they look like throwbacks from the old crowds you use to see taunting Civil Rights acitivist. They may be well intentioned, but because we are not getting the true story and the media doesn't help, everyone starts to make snap judgements or even unfair criticism.

To prove your point, in the 1960’s when the local print and TV media reported a crime committed by a black person their race was always mentioned. On the other hand, when a crime was committed by a white person their race was rarely mentioned. This gave the world the impression that all crime was committed by blacks. This practice still continues today in my city.

This entire show of so-called "American" Protesting has been nothing more than code and cover up (and an excuse) for racist acts that wreak of 1960's protests by White people to keep Blacks out of damn near everything. That is a perfect display of in justice. People we have a long way to go and when we realize what is really important in life...family, friends, associates and just people in general, then we can move ahead and make life better for everyone. If EVERYONE is doing well it become a breading ground for tackling the issues that slow down the progress of main kind like hunger, disease and spiritual emptiness. The full extent of the video speaks for itself. I served 10 years in the military and was also a law enforcement officer. The officer's actions were clearly unjustified. It is clear that the lady was sitting there minding her own business, when her space was invaded. It appears the sign was not being held up it was placed on a chair. If anyone of any color felt that the issue should have been addressed, they could have pointed it out to the officers. The man that took the sign did not have the authority to do so. He cannot just try and take the law into his own hands. Police protocol calls for the officers to diffuse the situation, separate the individuals, get both sides of the story, and make a decision. The lady was escorted out before her side of the story was heard. Even one of the officers admitted on video to the other that the lady should not be excorted out because she is black and said it looked bad. That is admission of guilt on camera. Even after the incident, police allowed a white man and his son to hold up signs. That is a sure case of racism. There are a lot of ignorant comments made, such as the one by "ohplease". She said that 99% of blacks keep it stirred up anyway. Since when did she poll 100% of African-American situations to know that they stir up 99% of it. IGNORANT COMMENT!! Then she says that African Americans get everything free anyway. I have worked all my life, and the things that I have I bought with hard earned money. I have an abundance of family and friends that have done the same. You need to go and look at that comparison of what race receives the most amount of welfare. She will probably be shocked and amazed at whose on top. On last thing about ignorant comments being made. The term African-American is a term that explains the African heritage born and living in America. If she didn't know, she needs to do her research and know that scientist have proven that everyone originated from that area. Unless she is Indian, she was definitely not originated here. I found this video appalling. I am an older white woman from Missouri & I found the treatment of the black woman totally unacceptable. The poor woman did nothing wrong until white men began "manhandling her." I would have fought back, as well. Claire McCaskill made the situation worse. Shame on her. And shame on all the illiterate, racist, rednecks who taunted, snickered, and ridiculed an innocent woman. I have no doubt that they voted republican and they will attend church on Sunday, yet they can't comprehend the wrongness of their behaviors.

Well........ where do I start. I will have to say that this country is screwed. I would never ever be so naive to think that because Obama was elected racism was either done or approaching its extinction, but I certainly hope that's where we're heading. Believe it or not, that statement would strike a nerve with some readers, and I'm going to go ahead and assume that those are the people that are holding back the country when it comes to the obliteration of racism. These people range from the lower class, middle american, evangelicals to the executives and politicians who influence laws and policies that affect everyone (even the lower class, middle american, evangelicals). It seems that the election of Mr. Obama has only sparked serious flame because the extremists, who span from low to executive class, realize that the entire world is evolving around them. We are reminded that there are still a lot of blatantly racist people out there, enough to spark a media frenzy that constantly loops footage of white people angry and minorities in support of health care reform. How the hell can these bigots not change? Well I believe it's a cultural thing, something you're born with which means the opposition probably wont influence a change in that person no matter how convincing the argument is (like legalizing marijuana etc.). Now, why are these people the way they are? Do white people naturally hate minorities? One person on this site just listed most of the races in the world along with all of the racist derogatory labels that they're known to be called. Who do you think created those names? Who creates these labels as well as extremely offensive jokes (why are black peoples palms so light compared to the "black-side" of their hands). Like I said I think it's cultural. It's hard to understand why Barack was elected. Was it because Bush F*CKED US, or because McCain's campaign sucked, or because Obama was qualified? I want to believe that his landslide victory was due to the majority of the country finally waking up and wanting to move on with the progress of the country, but like I said, I'm not naive. People are carrying weapons outside of presidential meetings and the media turns the national health care debate into a racial issue; for those that can't take a step back and see the BS that's going on, and those that sit and absorb everything you see on a television and then go out and protest as if you are up to date on current events, you are what's wrong with America. Example: It's common for a Caucasian to state that minorities abuse the government via welfare/section 8. If anybody did any research they would not that more Caucasians are using welfare than anyone, so why would it be common belief that minorities, particularly African-Americans, exploit the system? MANIPULATED! Black people are always causing crime, MANIPULATED! Black people always call me racial slurs, either a lie or lives in a slum, which proves that ghettos are not reserved for African-Americans. The worst is those stupid people that actually believe Northern America is where white people originated, and will say that the minorities should go back to their homeland as-if America is the white homeland. So these people are simply crazy and I highly doubt that crazy people can be reasoned with. What sucks is this species of human will not go extinct, it will simply produce offspring and raise them to be the same, but the world continues to evolve and progress, so what will they do? They will kill people, like the abortion doctor that was recently murdered. This doctor was placed on some F*CKIN' crazy evangelical's kill list along with many others. This religious nut gets air time and radio time and is interviewed by people on television about his list, then someone kills one of the entries. I call that manipulation but others call it coincidence. Well I wont be surprised if this continues. These radicals believe they are losing "their" country, which was never theirs' in the first place. This country was founded by lying, deceiving, manipulating, murdering whites and the culture lives on. Hopefully someday people with intelligence and ethics/morals will be the majority in America and whenever a Hannity or Glenn Beck comes on television to spit their venom, the TV viewer actually researches what was said to discover the foundation for the statement (which is either racism or money). When you have an open-mind, it's hard to be manipulated. While some people already know that the gay marriage issue and traveling to mars were just diversions from the FAILED war in Iraq, others still believe we are fighting Al Qaida, the Taliban, and Bin Laden. People need to seriously smarten up because they are the ones that make politicians think Americans are so dumb, and that they can pass ridiculous bills that screw Americans out of their rights to fatten the pockets of the rich (Patriot Act and the Bush cabinet). As long as America is run by wealthy radicals who influence state and national policy, and the media, the country is screwed. All you can do is leave the country or escape to the coasts like me in California where seeing a red dot, a turbine, an asian mask on the face, an afro, some neon pink hair, a mohawk, or a good ole' American blonde pony tail doesn't freak people out.

To be fair, both sides haveit wrong. The story is only a story if the man that took the black woman's sign was not taken out. Had she held up her sign, the man snatched it and the cops grabbed him, that would have been one thing. But the black woman went after the the guy and that was not an appropriate response at a forum like that. People didn't come to see you kicking some fools butt. So (if they saw or were told about it) the cops should have removed the man and probably charged his dumb butt with assault.
