Miguel Cortes, 37, was arrested outside his Paterson Plank Road home on Tuesday, May 14, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. North Bergen police caught wind of Cortes’s alleged offer of money for the deed, the prosecutor said in announcing the arrest on Friday. Suspect Arrested For Shooting In Abington Home: Police Abington police responded to a domestic shooting in a Roslyn home early on Friday, May 17, the department says.  It happened on the 2500 block of Pershing Avenue around 9 a.m., according to authorities.  An adult victim was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while a suspect was "quickly taken into custody," police said.  The investigation is ongoing and there is "no danger to the community," they added.

DPW Worker Shot Collecting Trash In Baltimore A 42-year-old Department of Public Works worker was shot Friday, May 17 while collecting trash in Baltimore, authorities said. The worker was on the 800 block of Allendale Street when he was struck by an unidentified male who'd begun shooting around 10:50 a.m., city police said.
